Looking at recent elections in many of Florida's smaller counties, no campaigns have been more fraught with political intrigue than those for superintendent of schools. Nor has any public office caused voters greater concern than that of superintendent. And, finally, nowehere has politics played a larger part in day-to-day decision making than in this public post.
