The James Madison Institute hosted an all day education summit on January 24th in Tallahassee at the University Center Club on the campus of Florida State University.

Florida is leading the way on education initiatives, but there is much work to be done.  The summit looked at the progress that has been made as well as explored the best practices for continued improvement in education for both parents and students.  Experts from across the country spent the day looking at Florida's K-12 education initiatives, discussing the future, and answering questions on a host of topics.  These topics included expanding school choice options, the Florida A+ plan, wise spending practices, meaningful measures of progress and preparing Florida's children for the global marketplace.  We were honored to have Governor Jeb Bush give the luncheon address.
