Join us on JMI’s back porch to hear from Judge Nina Ashenafi-Richardson at our fall Capital Young Professionals Gathering at 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on September 26.

Guest Speaker
The Honorable Nina Ashenafi-Richardson, known fondly as “Judge Nina,” was elected in 2008 to serve the 2nd Judicial Circuit. She presides over criminal, civil cases, family and Felony Drug Court. She has twice been re-elected by the citizens of Leon County, who recently selected her as Tallahassee Woman of the Year by the Tallahassee Woman Magazine. Judge Ashenafi-Richardson is known for her humble, kind spirt, devotion to being a fair and impartial judge, and one who treats all who come before her in court with dignity and respect.

Ashenafi-Richardson is the first Ethiopian-born person to serve as a judge in the United States, and also the first African-American elected president of the Tallahassee Bar Association and Stafford Inns of Court.  She also served as President of the Tallahassee Women Lawyers and Vice-President of the Tallahassee Barristers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to network with other Tallahassee young professionals. This is free for everyone and we will provide light refreshments and beverages.
