JMI Board of Directors member Frederick Leonhardt has been appointed to the Florida Technology, Research and Scholarship Board by Governor Charlie Crist for the term beginning December 27, 2010 and ending June 30, 2014.In this role, Mr. Leonhardt will oversee criteria for the creation and funding of Florida’s Centers of Excellence and the 21st Century World Class Scholars awards which were created by the Legislature to encourage more academic focus at the state’s eleven universities on sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics.
