Adelyn Valencia is a Grant Writer at the James Madison Institute. She assists Jill Mattox, JMI’s Senior Director of Grants and Editing, in researching foundation prospects and writing grant funding proposals and reports.
Prior to her current position, she served as a JMI intern. She also interned for the law firm Silvis, Ambrose, Lindquist, & Coch, P.C. as a summer clerk. She is the author of a book chapter on censorship in digital media in the e-book Students’ Guide to Digital Publishing.
Adelyn is a recent graduate of Troy University, where she double majored in English and Political Science with a focus in American Politics and Public Administration. During her time at Troy, she was involved in the Student Government Association and taught at a local preschool and daycare. Adelyn is a Tallahassee native. She is a collector of words and a lover of literature who enjoys travel and good food.
