Dr. Marshall DeRosa

Marshall L. DeRosa is a Professor of Political Science at Florida Atlantic University. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Houston, and has taught at Louisiana State University and Davis and Elkins College. He is an adjunct faculty member for the Ludwig von Mises Institute, a founding member of the Academy of Philosophy & Letters, a Salvatori Fellow of the Heritage Foundation, and a member of the Philadelphia Society. His publications include The Confederate Constitution of 1861: An Inquiry Into American Constitutionalism (University of Missouri Press) and The Ninth Amendment and the Politics of Creative Jurisprudence (Transaction Publishers) and most recently Redeeming American Democracy (Pelican Publishing Company 2007). His research interests include American jurisprudence, federalism, and civics education.
