Susan Stafford, the President of The Event Architects, a company specializing in venue sourcing and designing customized corporate events, serves as the JMI contract Director of Events. From large concepts to the smallest details, Susan crafts the perfect incentive trips, corporate retreats, and conferences. With over two decades of experience, she has built strong relationships with hotels, cruise lines, and site vendors, giving her unparalleled expertise in matching clients with ideal venues. Renowned in the events industry for her ability to create memorable experiences while meeting budgetary and strategic goals, Susan is an expert in logistics and meticulous planning, ensuring every detail is perfectly considered. Through her years of hands-on experience she has been able to cultivate a trusted and skilled team of event professionals to support implementing the client’s vision.
With a Bachelor’s in History from Birmingham-Southern College and a Masters of International Affairs from Florida State University, Susan started her professional career in non-profit and association management and was the JMI grant writer until 2006.
A native of Tallahassee, Susan served nine years on the board of directors of The School of Arts and Sciences Charter School. She served two years as Chair of the Board successfully overseeing both an expansion project and a full school replication. She currently serves the Leon High School Foundation Board as the appropriations chair and previously chaired the signature fundraising event using her management and event background to net more than double the profit from previous years. When not traveling, she can be found cheering on FSU football and basketball.
