By Cait Schall
November 5, 2015FGCU students will have the opportunity to celebrate Veterans Day early this year from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9 at Veteran’s Pavilion on the Library Lawn. This year’s celebration will include a live screening of the award-winning film “Honor Flight.” “Honor Flight” is a documentary that focuses on four WWII veterans and their community coming together to give them a trip to Washington D.C. where they can join thousands of other veterans in witnessing the construction of the WWII memorial that was constructed in 2004.The film will be introduced by a local veteran, who will take some time to discuss the movie and share about some of his experiences serving in the United States military. The event is being hosted by Eagles for Liberty and the James Madison Institute, a nonprofit organization based in Florida. The event is free of charge to anyone who wishes to come out and pay tribute to those who put their lives on the line for our country. Come out with your blankets and gratitude to enjoy a film exemplifying the valor of the veterans who continue to serve our country. For more information, reach out to Eagles for Liberty, JMI or contact Chris Perrigan at caperrigan8516@eagle.fgcu.edu.Article: http://eaglenews.org/outreach/eagles-for-liberty-to-host-honor-flight-viewing-on-library-lawn/
