For too many years, Florida’s litigation rules have siphoned millions of dollars from everyday Floridians to the bank accounts of wealthy trial attorneys. Fueled by greed, a handful of bad actors have turned Florida into a “judicial hellhole” of fraud and abuse.
With the passage of HB837 by the Florida Legislature, those days are numbered. JMI would like to thank the sponsors in both the house and senate – Representatives Tommy Gregory and Tom Fabricio along with Senator Travis Hutson – who did the hard work of building consensus and delivering on a priority of Governor DeSantis, Speaker Renner, and President Passidomo.
Your efforts will ultimately result in a better legal climate for Florida, saving taxpayers burdened by the tort tax for years.
