On Tuesday, Florida’s 38th Governor and a United States Senator, Bob Graham, passed away at the age of 87.
Bob Graham was a devoted public servant who was dedicated to the people of Florida and the United States. He cared passionately about conserving the beautiful state that he loved. Graham was well known for his “workdays” and joined constituents at work for more then 900 jobs during his career. He spent decades fighting for the people of Florida, often working across the aisle.
“Bob Graham was a faithful public servant and champion for the people. His legacy can be seen across the Sunshine State. He served the people of Florida for decades with integrity and civility and his dedication to our state will always be remembered. Our prayers are with his family and loved ones during this tremendous loss.” — Dr. Robert McClure, President and CEO, The James Madison Institute
“Bob Graham loved Florida, but loved Floridians more. His entire public service career was marked by his sincere desire to make life better for the citizens of his beloved home state. It was one of the greatest privileges of my life to have worked with him and learn from him for almost twenty years. His family’s loss is a loss for all of us who looked up to him as the embodiment of a true statesman.” – Becky Liner, Executive Vice President, The James Madison Institute
