We would like to thank Judiciary Chair Senator Durbin, ranking member Senator Graham, Senator Klobuchar, and Senator Lee for their commitment to protecting markets and holding this important hearing. In the current environment, there is too often a focus on issues dividing policymakers. It was a pleasure to participate in a Senate hearing in which the overwhelming atmosphere was one of identifying problems, discussing the pros and cons of policy solutions, and hearing from all parties on the challenges present in the ticketing and live entertainment industry. As an organization engaged in policy, rather than a specific industry stakeholder, we appreciate the chance to provide our thoughts on the proper role of both state and federal government policy, how competition helps improve consumer welfare, and the best way to move ahead.
