High School girls from around Florida are convening in Tallahassee for the Girls State Conference, where they’ll participate in discussions with women in various areas of government. Panel speakers include Republican state Representative from Marianna, Marty Coley and Judge Nina Ashenafi Richardson from Florida’s 2nd Judicial Circuit Court.Meanwhile, rumors about former Governor Jeb Bush’s intention to run for President in 2016 continue to fly, especially after his speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to the Majority” conference last Friday, an engagement often seen as a Republican candidate’s first campaign stop. But, the former Republican governor’s parents, former President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush, are split on whether they’d like to see another Bush in the White House.Finally, Governor Rick Scott is getting heat from people over his veto of a proposed license plate option that features a Florida Wildflower.
