TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, The James Madison Institute released the Fall 2021 edition of The Journal, JMI’s annual publication of articles from all policy areas that align with JMI’s efforts. This latest edition of The Journal focuses on the future of Florida. It includes 24 individual articles, opinions, narratives and reflections from industry leaders, policy experts, JMI advisors, and staff. It is our hope that you will see this issue as an insight into the many ways that Florida is at the forefront and what lies ahead for the Sunshine State.
“This past year has been tempestuous and chaotic as we all search for some form of normalcy. At the same time, we can not help but feel optimistic as we look to the future of our state. It is our sincere hope that in preparing this edition, we could provide a glimpse into the bright future we see for the Sunshine State as we continue our efforts to position the state as a beacon for the country and the world.” – Dr. Robert McClure, President and CEO, The James Madison Institute
“Over the last year, while we have seen so much instability and change, Floridians have also seen steady leadership and bold strides to protect freedoms and move forward together. In this edition of The Journal, we wanted to echo those efforts and focus on the limitless opportunity and potential we see for the future for our state. We are honored and grateful to have the opportunity to live in a state committed to the ideals of limited government, economic freedom, and free enterprise for everyone. – Sal Nuzzo, VP of Policy, The James Madison Institute
